Hannah Edinger
Director

Hannah Edinger is a Director of Frontier Advisory and heads up the Research & Strategy division of the firm. She has led various projects around China and India’s economic and commercial relations with Africa and has been advising South African companies on their internationalisation strategies into Africa and Asia, as well as international companies on their expansion strategies into the region.

She has headed research teams for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP); the International Women’s Forum of South Africa (IWFSA); the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF); the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA); the African Agricultural Technology Foundation (AATF); and the African Development Bank (AfDB) amongst others. She has also formed part of the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) network and completed research for the Department for International Development (DFID), and the Rockefeller Foundation.

Hannah has also served as an advisor to the OECD Development Centre, and forms part of the BRICS Think Tanks Symposium amongst other think tank initiatives. Hannah has authored and edited various articles, book chapters and publications. She regularly travels and presents across four continents and has previously lectured at the University of Stellenbosch and upon invitation at Rhodes University, at VU University in Amsterdam and at the Institute for West Asian and African Studies in Beijing. Hannah holds a BComm degree, BComm Honours in Economics (cum laude) and a Masters of Commerce in Economics (cum laude) from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa.
